Rate Professors - Rate Your Professor and Find College Professor Rating

FreeStudentEdu.com

Sharing knowledge is the main focus of this website. The philosophy that students learn best from examples is widely accepted in the classroom and education community. Users of the website are motivated to share their academic material as free essays, research papers, term papers, book reports, autobiographies etc. with others and are encouraged to start a discussion about education and class materials.

Rate College Professors - By reviewing ratings of college professors, students are able to get candid feedback from their peers that may factor into which professors' classes they enroll in. Students are encouraged to give positive and negative evaluation of performance and style of educating. Among other factors, students are asked to give information on qualities like easiness, helpfulness, and clarity, even the physical appearance, when rating college professors.

Rate Your Professor & Reviews - These professor ratings are coming from more than 6,000 schools across the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, and Wales. With so many academic institutions and style of teaching, it is important to provide a variety of feedback across the board and accommodate students in different areas, and those who may be traveling abroad for their college education.

Rate a Professor

To assess an educator's quality of teaching, students may rate college professors at the end of the course. Students may have the opportunity to evaluate the course, as well as, rate professors. Write down only comments and suggestions that are professional, constructive, and may be found useful by fellow students.

When students rate a professor, they may also provide 'inside information' to other students; for example, if the professor locks the door to the classroom as soon as the bell rings, students might share the frustration of being locked out for being late and warn others about being late to the class. When students rate professors objectively and give constructive feedbacks, it can be a useful tool enriching your college experience.

Students taking online degree classes may have different criteria for evaluating professors. The lack of a physical presence puts a different emphasis on course content and communication. As the student pursuing an online university degree is sometimes busier than the average student a professor's flexibility and availability are some things to consider.

The following are a few things to keep in mind when rating college professors:

  • Ratings are not 100% accurate for it is most often subjective and not objective.
  • Personal preferences are strong factors in determining whether you like or dislike a particular professor.
  • Liking a certain professor does not mean that he is the best.
  • Most of the professor's negative reviews are written by students who are not satisfied with their grades.

Reading Professor Ratings

Reading professor ratings are useful to both professors and students.

For the professors: Ratings may be used as a gauge to indicate how students feel about their teaching style and classes. Professors may take into account student opinions and ratings when they are making changes to their class or lesson plans. Understanding student opinions about their class may be an eye-opener to teachers struggling to connect with their students and encourage an open discussion about education.

For students - Rating college professors is like a barometer as they determine whether a class will be exciting or boring for the rest of the semester or if the professor's teaching style is something they could benefit from. Students must understand the job and limitations of their college professors. Reading how students rate college professors will help them make the proper decision during registration time. Students should take advantage of the "rate your professor" reviews and talk to classmates to get more information from those that may have already taken a certain course to see how they liked the class and how they would rate the professor. College students have a tough road ahead of them; to save time and frustration, students may choose to utilize professor ratings and reviews provided by their classmates.
