National Constitution center is an elegant anchor to Philadelphia's historical era. The center tells the story of the Constitution through more than 100 interactive and multimedia exhibits, photographs, sculpture, text, film and artifacts. Plunked in the middle of Independence National Historical Park, its sleek, modern design and high-tech exhibits set it apart from the historical buildings that surround it, making it a jarring juxtaposition of form and function. Tours of the center include 'Freedom Rising,' a multimedia presentation, and a series of interactive family oriented exhibits that show the significant role that Constitution has played throughout history. Visitors can vote for their favorite president, take the Presidential Oath-of-Office and even e-mail elected officials and watch up-to-the-minute constitutional issues unfold. The center also houses Delegates restaurant and has a full roster of special events. This historical site was very hard to grasp at one trip it contained so much information that I didn't know, which made it harder for me to understand some aspects of the building.
The building's modern design makes it different from all other historical sites. This building stands out as a design of 21st century other than 17th century. The interior of the building was also very modern and defined. The second floor had an open area and had a huge screen. And when I looked down the stairs from the 2nd floor's lobby it was amazing and beautiful, also looking out the glass windows in to the city of Philadelphia was amazing too. I also saw the Singer's hall 1,2,3,4 and 5 which contained the bronze sculptures, as well as the two name plates. Exploring this museum needed a lot more time that I had and once I was out of it I promised myself to visit back and learn more. The museum inspired me to learn more from it the building and it historical work played a significant role in our history.
