Advertising and Mass Media

Total words: 336

Television is one of the best ways of reaching a large and varied audience. Most people see at least some television adverts on a daily basis. In fact, people may see your adverts several times throughout the day. What better way to raise your profile? Television adverts are also an excellent way to advertise, as you can use both and sight sound to appeal to your audience. Using modern methods can also allow you to make your customers feel emotionally involved in your product.

TV is an excellent way to advertise and market your product because it affects all the sense. With TV, you get a carefully prepared combination of audio and video that gives you a picture or illustrates a point. As we have mentioned, it also appeals to your emotional senses, making you more likely to show an interest in the product. Often some catchy music and a cute animal will seal the deal for people.

Television Advertising on a Budget

Businesses are often put off from using television marketing because of the costs involved. Cutting corners can be dangerous as a badly made advert will imply that your goods are cheap and tacky.

Having said this, you need not spend a fortune! Get hold of a good quality camera and a well written script; this will help you to appear as professional as the next person. Make plenty of takes so that you can edit the best pieces together to give you the best result possible.

Avoid the temptation to over-complicate what you are telling people. Short and sweet is invariably better than long and complicated. Make sure that your background and lighting is also appropriate for you advertisement, as this can easily detract from what you are saying if you get it wrong.

One of the most important things to show in your advert is someone actually using your product. What better way to give people confidence in what you are selling than to show someone using the product with ease?
