For the professors: Ratings may be used as a gauge to indicate how students feel about their teaching style and classes. Professors may take into account student opinions and ratings when they are making changes to their class or lesson plans. Understanding student opinions about their class may be an eye-opener to teachers struggling to connect with their students and encourage an open discussion about education.

For students – Rating college professors is like a barometer as they determine whether a class will be exciting or boring for the rest of the semester or if the professor’s teaching style is something they could benefit from. Students must understand the job and limitations of their college professors. Reading how students rate college professors will help them make the proper decision during registration time.
